Abstract
272,206. Gr÷bl, J., and Niggl, N. June 4, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Variable-speed gearing comprises an epicyclic train 2, 3, 7 controlled by a worm 8 driven by an electric motor 9. The worm 8 is of the critical pitch so that, while it locks the wormwheel 7, it is just on the point of being driven by it. The sun gear 2 drives and the carrier 6 of the planets 3 is driven. The annular gear 7 tends to slip backwards and may be controlled by a motor 9 of minimum power.
