Abstract
271,787. Leytens, M. Feb. 28, 1927. Springs, arrangement of; equalizing load on wheels and springs.-Relates to lorries in which a supplementary wheel axle is mounted adjacent the driving axle, suspension springs being mounted on both axles with their adjacent ends overlapping and pivotally connected to a twoarmed balance lever pivoted on the frame. Corresponding suspension springs of both axles are mounted in the same plane and have their adjacent ends pivoted to the lever, say one end above and the other end beneath the pivot of the lever. The outer ends of the springs 6, 7 of the driving and supplementary axles 2, 4 respectively are pivoted to the frame at 10 and connected to the frame by a shackle 11. Their adjacent ends are respectively connected to the lever 14 by a shackle 13 at its upper end and a pivot at its lower end.
