270,473. Wiseman, G., and Wiseman, E. April 16, 1926. Weather-screens. - In leg-shields for motorcycles &c., of the type comprising flexible strips c normally wound upon spring rollers a, b adapted to be folded against the cycle frame when not required, the rollers are adapted to be separately moved both angularly and longitudinally in relation to their supporting-brackets, and to be then clamped in position. The spindles g of the rollers are adjustably mounted in transverse holes in clamping-bolts h, which are adapted to hold the spindles tightly against depressions in the faces of bosses j on the ends of members k, l forming together a bracket m clamped to the front stay tube of the frame. Two pairs of depressions are formed in each boss, arranged at rightangles to. each other, so that by releasing the clamping-bolts h the rollers may be turned through a right-angle into a vertical position for folding purposes. The strips c are maintained taut when rolled by means of frames n engaging the rolled-over edge of the' strips. The strips are held extended by catches on the foot-boards &c. engaging transverse rods on the free ends of the strips.
