Abstract
247,398. Harrison, J., and Jeffery, J. R. Feb. 27, 1926. Folding transversely.-A device for laying-up fabric in the manufacture of clothing preparatory to cutting-out comprises two frames a, b adjustably clamped to a table, the frame o. having brackets f, f <1> for carrying a spindle e supporting the roll of fabric and each frame having adjustable guides d mounted on rods i. In use, the material is laid between the angles d, a bar being inserted in the turns of the fabric and retained by the guides. Blades g adjustably mounted on the roll-supporting spindle e are adapted to lie in contact with the board upon which the material is rolled. The brackets f, f<1> are secured to a laterally adjustable part of the frame a.
