Abstract

222,668. Bland, W. G. Oct. 4, 1923. Foot-cycles.-In scooters of the folding type, a lug 2 on the steering-tube 1 is pivoted at 3 between the frame bars 4, the parts being held in the unfolded position by lateral projections or stops 6 on the lugs 2 and by a plate 7, which are clamped against the bars 4 by a wing-nut 8 &c. The plate 7 is so dimensioned that when turned through 90‹ it may be passed between the bars 4, thus allowing the steering- pillar 10 to be folded down into an approximately horizontal position.
