Abstract

246,649. Rose, G. G. Jan. 12, 1925. Multi-legged dividers. -In dividers having a third leg for use in setting out co-ordinates &c., the third leg is pivotally carried by a member rotatably mounted on one of the other legs, so that it can be adjusted to move in a plane inclined at more or less than a right-angle to that of the usual legs. The points of the legs can thus always be brought to lie on rectangular co-ordinates notwithstanding the varying obliquity of the legs. The additional leg 4 is attached by a hinge 6 to an arm 5 extending from a sleeve 7 which is rotatably mounted on the leg 2 to which it can be secured by a set-screw 8.
