Collars, linen and like.-A band of absorbent material is secured to a collar and adapted to be alternatively positioned inside the collar to absorb perspiration or to be folded over to protect the outside of the collar. As shown applied to a soft collar 4, Fig. 1, a fiannel or like absorbent band 6 is secured to the inner side of the inner fold 5 of the collar, and an inner flexible band 7 in which the tie is disposed is secured to the outer fold at its lower edge. The inner fold 5 is preferably of flannel or other suitable absorbent material, and press studs 8 or the like are provided to retain the inner band 7 in position. Fig. 3 shows a stiff collar 9 with an absorbent band 11 secured to the inner fold 10 of flannel &c. and made in sections, one or more of which may be turned over to protect the outside of the collar as desired. Slots 13 may be provided in the fold 10 to reduce friction when adjusting the tie.
