Abstract

269,422. Singer, F., and Fenag Akt.- Ges. Nov. 5, 1926. Motor-vehicle and like lamps; mounting electric lamps in lanterns.-The headlight cover plate 1 carries the other elements of the headlight, the front glass 4 being fixed directly to the cover-plate by a split ring 5. The casing 16 may be detachably secured to the cover plate by a bayonet joint or preferably by an angular hook 17 for engaging an aperture 31 for the cable and by a bolt 18. The electric lamp socket is mounted on the reflector so that it may be pulled out rearwardly and is held in position by a bowshaped spring 20 bearing against the casing 16 and fixed to an insulating-plate 8 carrying the lamp socket and the terminals.
