269,118. Allgemeine Ges. f³r Chemische Industrie. April 12, 1926, [Convention date]. Separate heater and evaporator apparatus.- Sulphurous acid is expelled from mixtures of sulphurous acid and oil by passing the mixture upwards from an inlet 7 through one or more pipes 1 heated by steam, hot water, hot air &c. passing through a jacket 3 or through a pipe passing concentrically through the pipe 1. The mixture of vapours and liquid rises into a horizontal drum 2 from which vapours pass away by an outlet 8 in a dome 9, and liquid flows away through an outlet 10. The drum 2 and dome 9 are fitted with gauge glasses.
