Blocks, special shapes of.-Wooden bricks or blocks for building purposes have a raised or projecting rib b along one face and a corresponding recess c in the opposite face. The corner bricks and those at the junction of division walls, have an additional cross groove d. Alternatively, a special corner brick e, Fig. 2, may be used, having recessed faces with which the ends of the bricks engage. To provide a cavity wall a finishing face f may be spaced from the wall proper by battens g, or tie-pieces i, Fig. 3, may be employed having ribs and grooves to mate with those on the blocks.
