Receiving sets, construction of.-Wireless receiving-sets of the enclosed type have the panel and baseboard integrally formed in one piece which can be withdrawn from the cabinet bv a pivotal, sliding, or combined movement. As shown in Fig. 1, the panel 1 and baseboard 2 are formed integrally of metal or other suitable material, and are strengthened by flanges 3 welded at the mitre joint 7. The set is rendered accessible by swinging it about pivots 4 which are secured to the cabinet walls and enter recesses in the flanges 3. Alternatively, the pivots pins may be attached to links pivoted to the cabinet. In another form, the webs 3 have tongues which slide in horizontal grooves in the cabinet walls, the set being withdrawn like a drawer. Fig. 4 shows in plan another alternative, in which the baseboard 2 is semicircular, and the set can be rotated around a central vertical pivot 8 for inspection &c. The cabinet 9 may in this case be in the form of a half cylinder In another form a rectangular base is suspended by vertical pairs of links at front and rear, and the set is exposed by pulling forward the panel and baseboard, the links causing both to rise, with a parallel motion. Or the front pair of links may be omitted, and the set tilted as it is withdrawn. In a further modification shown in Fig. 5, the set is suspended by short side links near the top of the panel.
