Abstract
268,188. Johnson, J. Y., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). June 12, 1926. Catalytic apparatus; highpressure apparatus other than autoclaves and catalytic apparatus.-Solids are fed into high-pressure reaction vessels by intimately mixing the finely-powdered solid into gas which is under a pressure higher than that in the reaction vessel and blowing the mixture into the latter. Powdered solid material in a vessel B, provided, if desired, with stirring- means G, is mixed with gas supplied at a high pressure from a pipe E through a valve F, and the mixture is fed through a valve C under its own pressure into a reaction vessel A through a pipe D. Two or more supply vessels B may be provided, and preferably the pipes leading from them are led tangentially into the pipe D.
