Abstract

268,153. Dickie, J. F. April 21, 1926. Ventilators,-A ventilator for byres and other buildings consists of a number of beams D arranged above an aperture B, of narrower width than the beams, provided in the ridge of the roof, and a series of vertical baffles H, spaced from the sides of the beams and the supporting means for the beams and baffles comprises end gable members G and intermediate saddle mem bers G<1>, having lugs g and fillets g<1>. For small ventilator, a single beam may be provided, the intermediate saddle piece being then unnecessary. The undersides of the beams axe of V-shape, and the lugs g are shaped to correspond. Notches are provided in the lower edges of the baffles H for the escape of rain and snow.
