Moulding wheel tyres; pipes and tubes.-Relates to methods of making single-tube tyres comprising a fabric base with a rubber covering. As shown in Figs. 1 and 3, bands of fabric a and rubber c are built up on a drum b, the edges 1, 2 .of the composite strip being then overlapped to form a closed tube. A reinforcing-strip e is fitted at the rim side of the tube before vulcanization. Fig. 6 shows a modification in which a fabric strip a<1> is wound helically on to a rubber tube c<1> on a circular-section mandrel b<1>.
