Abstract

267,385. Sharp, F. L., and Bonnaud, H. M. July 23, 1926. Gauge of wheels, changing.-Trollies for hoisting goods along ladders, pairs of poles, &c., are provided with wheels adapted to run along the side members of a ladder &c., the wheels on one side of the trolley being so mounted that they can adjust themselves to the non - parallel arrangement of the side members and all the wheels being mounted so that they can be folded within the frame of the trolley. The wheels 2 are widely flanged to accommodate the side members L of the ladder and are mounted in brackets 4 suspended from longitudinal bars 5 pivoted on spindles 6 carried by cross-members a of the trolley frame 1. By means of bolts 7, 7a adapted to engage sockets 10 in the cross-members the brackets can be folded within the frame in the inoperative position, Fig. 1. In the working position, Fig. 3, one bracket is secured to the frame and the other is free to turn on its pivot. The wheels may be mounted on inverted U-shaped brackets separately pivoted to the cross-members.
