Abstract

266,626. Castille, M. R. Sept. 22, 1926. Reel and non-endless web apparatus. - A rremorandum device 8 for use in prompting speakers consists of a legend-bearing band wound on rollers operated by a hand-rotated concealed bar 38 through shafting and gearing 32 - - 36. The band 14, Fig. 4, passes behind an opening 10 in the door 9 of the device 8, and is connected to the rollers 12, 13 by passing its ends into slits. A spring 43 bears on the winding-off roller 13 to keep the band taut, and a plate 16 with convex edges supports the band at the window 10. The rollers 12, 13 are detachably held between retractable bearing pins fitted with outside knobs. Lamps 11 are provided to illuminate the band, and a magnifying glass may be employed for glazing the opening 10.
