Nozzles.-A built-up turbine nozzle diaphragm has guide blades carrying projections which engage notches in distance strips let into the diaphragm or shroud ring. In the example, shown, each blade c has one upper projection d fitting into a notch in the strip f<1> let into the shroud ring a, and two lower projections e fitting respectively into notches in a pair of strips f<2>, f<3> let into the diaphragm b. The projections and notches can be square, as shown, and at right angles to the strips, or inclined thereto. The notches mav be punched out of the strips. The distance strips and shroud ring may be made of semi-circular shape in the same way as the diaphragm and the whole can be welded or soldered together when assembled.
