Abstract
264,146. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. Jan. 7, 1926, [Convention date]. Fibres, treating.-Animal fibres are protected during treatment with chromium compounds, by adding to the treatment bath, sulphite cellulose waste liquor, or a closely-related conversion product thereof, or a salt of lignin sulphonic acid. In an example, to the bichromate-sulphuric acid bath used for removing dye from wool rags, is added sulphite cellulose lye, whereby the wool retains its full feel and its capacity for being spun. Specification 188,632, [Class 15 (ii), Dyeing, Processes &c. for], is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers to the use of cell pitch, or a sugar particularly a pentose or a hexose. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
