Abstract

262,285. Rehmann, F., and Althaus, H., (trading as Metallwarenfabrik Rehmann & Co.). Jan. 12, 1926. Disinfecting-chambers.-Anapparatus which may be used for sterilizing, and of the type comprising a heating chamber formed by a dishshaped base plate 1 having openings through which combustion gases and heated air enter it, together with a bell-shaped cover 2 with adjustable outlets 4, is provided with a downwardlydirected rib 16 to prevent the escape of the gases round the edge of the base-plate. The articles to be sterilized are placed in a vessel which is supported on a perforated plate or wire grid carried by another vessel containing water. In the form shown, the latter vessel is formed by a concave plate 9 supported on feet 11, the inverted cup-shaped member 10 shown in the Figure being removed. The height of the chamber may be increased by the use of one or more rings 13, 14.
