Abstract

260,211. M³ller W,. P. Oct. 24, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Pantographic apparatus.-Apparatus for copying characters &c. for marking labels &c. comprises a frame 1 having flanges 2, 4 within which is slidably disposed a pattern plate 3 which is formed with notches 5 adapted to be engaged by a projection 4<1> on the flange 4. The pantograph comprises links 12 - - 15, the link 12 being adjustable to definite positions along the links 13, 15, and having a number of apertures 22, into any one of which can be inserted a tube &c. 23 carrying the marking instrument. The fixed pivot 10 of the pantograph is mounted on a hinge 8 so that the linkage can be lifted clear of the wilting surface. The pin 6 engaging in the pattern plate is mounted in a carrier 17 under the influence of a spring 18 which tends to lift the pantograph from the drawing surface. The frame 1 has an extension 6 on which can be placed a ruler &c. to steady the instrument.
