Coking processes. - Superheated benzene vapours are used as heating-agent for the distillation of lignite, anthracite, wood, turf, resins, ichthyol, and other substances, and for the production of high pressure steam. The benzene vapours are brought into direct or indirect contact with the materials and may be mixed with hydrogen, steam, natural gas, carbon dioxide, gasolene, &c. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the use of superheated vapours of hydrogenated derivatives of benzene such as hexahydrobenzene and of methylcyclopentane. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
