Abstract

258,660. Stephenson, A., and Allen- Liversidge, Ltd. June 24, 1925. Rotary mixers.-The wet residue or slurry from an acetylene generator is dried by mixing it with quicklime in a mixing device 32 mounted by means of a frame 33 upon a track 34. Mixing is effected, while the apparatus is being moved on rails from the acetylene generator to a screening device, by means of elements which are operated by a worm 33a on a shaft 34<a>, the latter being driven by the wheels of the truck through the intermediary of sprocket-wheels 36, 38 and chain 37.
