Abstract
According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), these substances are synthesized by subjecting the constituent gases to the action of ultra-violet, Lenard, Becquerel, or Röntgen rays and then bringing the gases into contact with a metallic surface or radio-active material, or by directing the gases on to a metallic surface which is itself subjected to the action of ultraviolet or other rays. Suitable metals are platinum, palladium, iron, nickel, zinc, cadmium, and aluminium. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
