Check lift valves. -A non-return valve for use in pumps, compressors and the like comprises a valve disc 1 adapted to cooperate with a seat 5 and held in place by a cage against the seat by a spring 7. The cage comprises a flat plate 3 provided with legs 4 preferably engaging a groove 6 in the seat.
