Check elastic valves. -A non-return valve particularly applicable for use on gas masks and of the type comprising two flat rubber members connected to one another at certain places on the circumference has the plates formed with a wider partly circular part 3, 4, 5 and a narrower tongue-shaped part 5, 6, 7, 3. The wider part has a concentric or eccentric hole 8 adapted for mounting the valve in a socket 9. The two plates are connected together along the edges 3, 4, 5 and 6, 7 so as to leave slits 5, 6 and 3, 7.
