Gun cartridges. - The metallic end wall 9 of a primer chamber 5, Fig. 2, is perforated as shown at 11, 12, Fig. 3, and then substantially closed, as shown in Fig. 4, by a compression operation which simultaneously weakens the metal, enabling it to be burst open by the flash from the primer charge.
