Boards, sheets, and like elements, travelling. - Cardboard, metal, or other placards are suspended from horizontal rods which move independently round closed grooves 11, 12, 21, 26 located one at each side of a casing 5. The lowermost rod 16 is raised by a projection 20 on a continuously moving endless chain or chains, and when nearing the top of the grooves tilts counter-weighted or spring-pressed pivoted levers 18 having rod-holding detents 19. The tilting of the levers 18 allows a rod 22 to drop to the inclined part 11, 12 of the grooves, and the curve 17 of the grooves forces the rising rod to leave the chain and fall on the detents 19. The viewing aperture may be located at 23, 24 so that the placard suspended from the detents 19 is seen, or may be lower down so that the placard exposed is that hanging from rod 13. The front 8 of the casing 5 opens out to give access to the grooves through slots 10.
