Abstract

Counters actuated by revolving mechanism.- In an electricity &c. meter the interengagement of the wheel of the indicating or counting mechanism with the pinion of the measuring member is regulated by supporting the plates f carrying the said mechanism on screw-threaded pillars a on which are mounted screw-threaded sleeves b. Each sleeve is formed with a flange c and with a flat d for engagement by a finger piece e by means of which the sleeve can be adjusted until the proper engagement between the wheel g and the pinion h is effected. The sleeves are secured in set position by lock-nuts i. This arrangement enables wheels g of different diameters to be engaged with the pinion h of the measuring member.
