Electricity, supplying by meter; price-changing mechanism.-Relates to prepayment electricity meters of the kind having price-changing meehanism of the change wheel type in which the arbor of one of the wheels is detachable and can be replaced by another arbor carrying a wheel of different size. According to the invention the arbor a bearing a meter-driven wheel g and a change-wheel h has a, bearing- ing at one in i fixed plate b and at the other end in a resilient strip c which is secured at one end to a fixed plate d, its free end being adapted to engage a pin e. To remove the arbor a the strip c is deflected as shown in dotted lines. The change-wheel h transmits motion to a wheel through an idle wheel i. The wheel i is carried by an arm k adapted to swing about the axis of the wheel j and to be held in adjusted position according to the size of the wheel h by a screw l.
