Indicating particular readings.-An indicating device for use with weighing-apparatus, capable of being set upon a dial to indicate the tare or to indicate the limit of a weighing range, comprises a pointer 8 carried by a holder 9 provided with a length of split resilient tube 11 within which is disposed a pair of jaws 12 normally maintained in the closed position by the resiliency of the split tube and provided at their outer ends with an outwardly-turned lead whereby the jaws may be engaged with a flange or ledge 5<a> adjacent to the dial by a pushing operation and maintained thereon by the resiliency of the split tube. The pointer 8 may be integral with the holder 9 or may be slidably engaged therewith as shown.
