Abstract
256,926. Enzian, H. Aug. 17, 1925, [Convention date]. Indicators, electric. - A float c, varying its position according to the level of the liquid b in a closed tank a, alters the position of a member, such as the contact arm i, and this position is indicated at any desired distance when a key device is operated, the coupling between the float and switch mechanism through the gas-tight partition wall of the tank being effected magnetically. The arm i is rotated, as the float c moves, over a series of contacts k on a plate spring-held so that contact is not made until the closing of a key switch r causes an electromagnet to move the disc j outwards, a circuit being thereby established including the arm i, one of the contacts k, and a corresponding signal such as a lamp. A consecutive automatic record may be kept of the indications given at regular intervals by the clockwork operation of the key. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a construction in which the tank is open and the float mechanism is directly coupled to the switch arm i. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
