Abstract

Rotary distributors. -The guideway b of a brush holder a of a rotary distributor is provided with a readily replaceable liner l adapted to receive the wearing pressure of the brush c. The liner comprises a spring clip bent at n to engage with the body of the holder, and co-operates with a projection k on the brush to limit the outward movement thereof. The brush is urged outwardly by a spring d which is secured to the holder by a screw or inserted in a slot formed therein. Alternatively a coil spring may be employed, or, as shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the spring d may be formed integrally with the liner l and may be held in place by a plate r engaging grooved projections w on the holder. The underface of the brush may be either flat or curved to provide a better bearing surface for the spring. Specification 205,562 is referred to.
