Loud-speakers.-A loud-speaker in which the telephonic unit 1 is connected to the constricted end 2a of a straight or helico-spiral sound conduit 2, which extends upwardly into a bell-shaped casing 3, has a spherical protuberance 7, resembling a bell-striker, provided on the lower end of the conduit 2. In the construction, Fig. 2, the casing 3 is carried on pillars 6 on a support 5, the top 5<a> of which carries the conduit 2. The top 5<a> is formed with an annular concave reflecting surface 5<b> adapted to deflect downwardly proceed. ing sound waves in a lateral direction. An extension 1<a> on the telephonic unit 1 is secured in a hole in the underside of the top 5a by a rubber &c. bush 1<b>. In the modification, Fig. 5, the casing 3 is provided with a suspension eye 9, the conduit 2 being supported within the casing 3 by a spider at 10 or 10<a> and the telephonic unit 1 being secured in the spherical protuberance 7<a> as shown.
