Abstract

254,117. Neale, R. W. July 25, 1925. Wick burners, solid flame. - An oil lamp burner of the kind having a porcelain or earthenware oval cone c is provided with a circular wick tube d and a circular wick e so as to enable the wick-winding spindle f<2> to be arranged at an angle to the major axis of the oval cone, which axis is required to be at right angles to the lamp reflector when the burner is in position. The cone c in the burner shown is oval at its upper end c<2> and circular at its base c<4>. The base c' is fitted in a recess a<2> in the metal burner body a and may be turned to its correct position relatively to the winding stem before being finally secured. Specification 7277/85 is referred to.
