Abstract
253,220. Guest, J. E., and Guest, O. D. March 18, 1925. Hook, safety, spring, slip, and closed.- A `scissor-hook' for a dog-lead consists of a pair of members 1, 2 connected by a rivet 10 at a point between their ends. A spring 18 keeps the ends 8, 9 of the portions 3, 4 together, these overlapping to prevent lateral movement. Of the other ends, one 15, is reduced in width so as to move within a slot 16. The rivet 10 is formed from sheet metal and provided with a T or other shaped head 13, a shank 11, a shoulder 12 and a part 14 of smaller diameter to pass through the member 1 and be riveted thereover.
