251,829. Whitlock, E. C. Sept. 3, 1925. Abdominal belts.-The belt comprises several pieces of fabric stitched together, elastic strips 18 being provided between the back portion 19 and the hip portions 19'. Stays 20 of whalebone or non-rustable metal are provided. The belt is fastened in front of the right hip, the joining edges being provided with stays fitted with eyes and pins or beads. A reinforcing band of strong material may be stretched across the front of the belt as an abdominal support. The front of the belt is provided with a tapered portion 25 fitted with a tab 24 and the rear of the belt is provided with a detachable elastic band 27 to which a catamenial appliance may be secured. Adjustable straps 31 for connection to the sides of the catamenial appliance, and stocking supports 36 are also provided.
