Abstract
251,531. Barrey, W. H. Oct. 24, 1925. Surface markings. - A roadmarking sign for curves and like places comprises a series of blocks each of which has a surface of transparent or reflecting material. Fig. 2 shows one block of white material having solid or hollow reflecting-devices b of glass, silver steel, or the like embedded therein. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which a capping c of reflecting material is bulged to form knobs d, and is secured to the body of the block by hooked or rag bolts e. The capping may be made in two parts to allow the block to be divided into two parts. Fig. 5 shows a capping packed with wood h to level it, so that it can be screwed to existing wooden road blocks. The blocks may be made with a transparent upper layer to transmit light from a reflecting surface underneath.
