Abstract
250,266. Heil, A. April ], 1925, [Convention date]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Electrodes.-A dry battery is provided with a depolarizer consisting of a mixture of mercurous chloride and graphite. The mixture is submitted to great pressure round a conductor of silver or an alloy of 90 per cent silver and 10 per cent manganese. A carbon conductor, pureferably silvered, may be used. The second electrode consists of zinc, the space between the twc electrodes being filled with a substance such as farina or gypsum containing the electrolyte salts. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that other salts of mercury can be used as the depolarizer such as the acetates, oxalates, culphates and phosphates: also that soot may be submitted for or added to the graphite. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
