Abstract

248,582. Fleming, A. J. March 31, 1925. Renewable wearing-parts for points; points with fixed tongues ; guard rails, arrangement of. - Vehicle wheels are deflected at the points by a deflector mounted to abut against the side of the rail head of the track rail or guard rail in advance of the points. The deflector 11, Fig. 2, is reversible and seats on a block 13 having a projection 20 engaging a recess in the deflector. A four-sided deflector 22, Fig. 6, may be used and provided with a central extension 23 engaging a block 24, the bolt holes being disposed in pairs at right-angles.
