Abstract
247,588. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges., (Assignees of Farbwerke vorm. Meister, Lucius,& Br³ning). Feb. 11, 1925, [Convention date]. Cleansing-compositions. - A substitute for turpentine oil, such as decamphorated turpentine oil, is treated with alcohol and any of the sulphonic acids obtainable from naphthalene, benzyl chloride, butyl alcohol, and a sulphonating agent, to yield an emulsion suitable for wetting and cleaning purposes, or for treating wool; the emulsion, after neutralization, is suitable for use also in the cotton industries, and in cleaning clothes. Specifications 169,962; and 240,318, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], are referred to.
