Abstract

247,354. Pocock, S. J. Jan. 13, 1925. Bedsteads. - A bed rest comprises two side rails, rigidly secured together by transverse members, and each consisting of three parts a, b, c hinged together and so shaped that from the foot it is upwardly and then downwardly curved to form a knee portion which merges into a straight seat portion and then extends upwardly and backwardly to form a back rest portion. In the modification shown in dotted lines in Fig. 2, the seat and back-rest portions are curved. In either case the longitudinal edges of the canvas support d are wrapped around the side rails and secured thereto by eyelets f and screws g, and adjustable eyeletted straps i, engaging with studs h, k are provided.
