Abstract

247,245. Stoneware, Ltd., and Dean, H. June 13, 1925. Multiple-chamber kilns.-In a kiln having parallel lines of chambers a accessible from both sides and damper-controlled apertures k in the partition walls between the chambers, a chimney flue c is associated with each line of chambers, and is fitted with a damper n in the chimney connection, so that the waste gases can be parsed in either direction along the flues c. The floor flues have dampers e for controlling communication with the chimney flues. At the top of the chambers are flues k by which hot air from chambers containing fresh goods can be transferred to freshly-loaded chambers. Specifications 1764/88 and 338/00 are referred to.
