Abstract
247,169. Soc. Mondiale du Film en Couleurs Keller-Dorian. Feb. 9, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Developing; reversing.-In the process of producing positives directly by reversing a negative made in a silver sensitive layer of normal thickness, it is usual to over-expose the layer when making the negative, in order to obtain a good positive. This is avoided according to the invention by adding to the developer a solvent for the silver halide. of such strength that a good positive is obtained when the negative has received the normal exposure. Hyposulphite is preferred, and may be used with any developer, for example glycin, of which it forms from 0.5 to 1 per cent of the strength; but sulphocyanide, cyanide, and ammonia may also be used.
