Abstract
246,914. Hunt, W. H. Nov. 4, 1924. Receiving sets, construction of; thermionic valve circuits.-In a receiving set the usual reaction coil is replaced by two reaction coils of less inductance, one of these being freely movable in relation to the other coils of the system. Thus a set may comprise an ordinary three-coil holder having a primary or aerial coil 45, secondary 46, and reaction coil 47 connected as in well known arrangements; but in series with the reaction coil 47 is connected a further reaction coil 48 mounted on a separate holder 44 and adapted to be moved to various positions such as those shown in Figs. 5, 6. Circuit diagrams are given for three valve sets having (1) as shown in Fig. 3, primary, secondary, and reaction coils mutually coupled or (2) a tuned anode circuit to which the reaction coil is coupled.
