Abstract

A camera is being focused on a scene or image. The signal from this image/scene is then transmitted constantly and live to a central receiver (where it will be picking up signals from other cameras). At this point the live images being brought in via the cameras are sent to the mobile phones/computers to be used as screensavers/wallpaper, the signal of the images only being periodically interrupted with commercial advertisement signals.

Description

Real Time Live Wallpaper This invention/process relates to the issue of advertising on mobile phones.
So far no successful process has been established where advertising commercials on the screens of mobile phones has been created.
There have been attempts to advertise on mobile phones whereby text messages have been sent to a person's mobile phone whilst walking past certain establishments e.g. banks, The problem with this is that the advertising is text message only, plus it limits what advertising the phone is receiving by what one is in close proximity to.
To overcome the problem of advertising on mobile phones and displaying commercials, mobile phones will have a real time live link broadcasted image being transmitted to them.
(The image can be of any description). This live link is constant, only being interrupted when the signal for advertising commercials are to be broadcast.
With the real time live link to mobile phones, broadcasting live images to the phone's screen, this should provide either the phone manufacturer and/or the network provider with a unique selling point to differentiate their product. Secondly, with the ability to advertise commercials on the screens of mobile phones generating a second revenue stream for the provider.
The primary use of real time live link broadcasted images will be for screensavers/wallpaper to mobile phones but the facility may also be adapted for use for computers as screensavers.
The invention/process will now be described solely by way of example and with reference notes to the accompanying drawings (Abstracts Figures 1 & 2).
Figure 1 -Shows in diagrammatic form the process by which the real time live broadcast link image is transmitted to the mobile phone.
Figure 2 -Shows in diagrammatic form the process by which the real time live link broadcast image is attained by computer/PC/laptop, MAC.
In Figure 1: The subject matter (1) can be of any describable image and/or scene e.g. a coastal scene, image of cityscape etc. A digital camera (2)is set up focusing on its image/scene that is to be broadcast to the mobile phone. The images will then be transmitted (3) to a main receiver (4). The number of cameras is dependent on the number of different images being sent. At this point (4), the live images from the cameras are to be interrupted with commercials. The modulator (5) will then formulate the signals for broadcasting to mobile phones. The transmitter (6) will then send out signals to the mobile phones (7). The mobile phone will have a secondary aerial (8) picking up signals from the live broadcast only, transmitting these images onto the mobile phone screen. This secondary aerial (8) will be separate from the mobile phone's primary aerial being used to pick up other incoming phone signals.

The computer (7) will have an internet link (6) to access these images and use as wallpaper/screensavers.

  1. Claims 1. A process by which the advertisement of commercials is achievable on the screens of mobile phones and/or computers.
  2. 2. The process for which advertising on mobile phones and computers as in Claim I will be via a permanent live link broadcast showing/displaying images/scenes.
  3. 3. To have live images/scenes being broadcast to mobile phones/computers for purpose of walipaper/screensaver.
