Back-pedalling brake and free-wheel arrangements.- The driving sprocket f and free-wheel device d, e screwed upon the end of the wheel hub a is provided with a recess in its outer side within which is located a second reversed free-wheel i, j secured by screws l to a disc m mounted upon a screw threaded block n fixed to the axle. The second free-wheel is permitted some lateral play so as to allow the disc m to contact with and retard the braking surface on the free-wheel locking ring k during back pedalling. In a molification. the screws l pass through short slots in the second free-wheel which is then secured without lateral movement in the first free-wheel.
