Heating by electricity.-A metallic composition for welding-electrodes, comprises a sintered mass of particles of tungsten impregnated with a softer metal such as copper. Tungsten may be sintered in hydrogen and impregnated with copper by melting 'the copper in presence of the tungsten in a hydrogen atmosphere preferably at 1200-1300‹ C.
