Abstract

245,344. Rees, D. J., and Cole, J. H. May 29, 1925. Cleaning.-In a branning machine, in which a plate i passes through rollers d and obliquely upwards through a mass of bran, two closely adjacent paddle wheels k with their axes in a plane approximately parallel to the plate are arranged closely adjacent to the under surface of the plate so that the bran is transferred from one paddle wheel to the other and is thereby carried along and in contact with the under surface of the plate. The wheels k are provided with tangential blades which trail or extend oppositely to the direction of rotation of the wheel. The branning machine is also provided with delivery rollers f, g, a roller h between these rollers completing the cleaning of the plate as described in Specification 228,090.
