Belts.-A driving-belt as described in the parent Specification is provided with a continuous strip of steel or other metal secured to or embedded in the continuous portion of the belt. The steel strip f is placed between the layers of impregnated canvas of which the portion a of the belt is composed, and the rivets c which secure the blocks b pass through the strip. The strip may be secured to the outer or to the inner face of the band a.
