Abstract

244,264. Boyd, T. A., Boyd, H. A., and Boyd, Ltd., J. & T. Dec. 13, 1924. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Winding-machines; spindle apparatus. - The spindles of winding, spinning, twisting, and like frames are provided with segments 4, loosely mounted in a holder 2 in a plane at right angles to the spindle and provided with serrations on their outer surfaces, so as to engage and drive the bobbins or tubes by centrifugal force. Pins mounted in holes 5 engage slots in the segments to retain them in position. Specification 11387/13 is referred to.
